While working in education, I was tasked with creating lesson plans to address specific topics at a level and pace for the individual students I met with. This experience helped me to create tailored learning experiences to different comprehension levels and different learning styles. I also learned to mentor colleagues so they could effectively plan and teach.
Working in the energy industry has taught me to work in fast- and slow-paced environments. I have learned to quickly adapt and rework after handovers, objective changes, and many other project constraints.
My role at Hess also allowed me to experience different learner perspectives, and how to work around things from bandwidth issues to testing how different tones or formality affect what a learner takes away from a course.
I also gained experience in searching for new personnel, onboarding, and managing a budget.

I have learned to manage not just my time and deliverables, but also hold myself responsible for a team of people with individual and group deliverables.
I love planning, so project management is my middle name. I know that’s corny, but I literally planned my own wedding because I thought it’d be fun.
While employed at City Hall, I had the opportunity to manage constituent cases, attend council meetings, and organize events. This experience prepared me to take on future roles including my role as Camp Manager at Houston Christian University and Community Manager at Mahogany.
At HCU, I coordinated camp admission, managed personnel, and managed the inventory and distribution of camp materials.
At Mahogany, I researched for and managed our social media presence, researched for potential influencer collaborations, and researched candidates for guests for the upcoming podcast launch.

My study of UX design and research principles gave me the tools to researching user behavior and pain points, but to also ask SMEs about potential gaps, and opportunities for learner growth.
I obtained a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Houston Christian University. During my undergrad I studied music, specifically majoring in Vocal Performance. My studies gave me the opportunity to travel abroad, premiere choral and operatic works, and experience and learn from different people and cultures.
